I think my cat Sergio knows I'm leaving this morning. He is "helping" me type this by resting his paw on my fingers as I type. Sounds okay - except for the slightly extended claws part!

Well I'm all packed, well rested and ready to start my Portland journey. The weather forecast says clear, sunny and hot so all my long sleeved shirts and sweats are staying home. I've brought along a couple of treats for Bjorg and I to enjoy in our tent and I'm actually quite excited to get this adventure started!

Speaking of adventures, I spoke to the Crew Coordinator for the San Francisco 3 Day in November and I have my crew assignment already! After four walks this time I'll get to ride as a member of the "Sweep" team. It was my very first choice and I'm very excited. I get to be a mobile cheering station AND help out walkers at the same time. How awesome is that!

Well, I'd better get going. My ride just got out of the shower and we still need to pick up Bjorg and the all important mocha for me!! Wish me luck.
