Friday was spent organizing and pricing an amazing amount of donated garage sale items. Bjorg and I were overwhelmed with the sheer volume of stuff that folks had donated.

About 4:30 I had to quit garage sale stuff to get ready to go to Emily's Houseparty. On my way I once again discovered Mapquest is not always accurate and after a couple false starts and a ferry ride I arrived only 30 minutes late. Emily had gathered a great group together and I really enjoyed speaking to them and then later visiting a bit before I headed back out.

NOTE TO SELF: Mapquest may not be perfect but it's better than nothing at all. I managed to get myself very turned around in an area that I was totally unfamiliar with trying to get back to the ferry. I ended up calling Jeff at home for directions and finally caught the 11:10 ferry. That put me home about 1 1/2 hours later than I had planned but at least I made it!

This morning my alarm went off at 5:30 and the first sound I heard was pouring rain...and I mean POURING rain. Not a good sign for a garage sale. Bjorg and I did set stuff up and tried our best to keep things dry, but after only an hour or so we decided to bail and try again in a couple weeks for better weather. We did manage to sell about $80 worth of stuff as we were packing up though! :-) Wish us better weather for next time!
