I figured I'd better get on here and let folks know that came through my surgery last Thursday with flying colors! I wouldn't exactly call it fun but it was by far easier than my last surgery! I'm still quite sore and tire easily but I took myself off of the painkillers on Sunday and I'm starting to be able to do a (very) few things around the house. I do have to admit to looking forward to actually standing up straight - this hunchback thing simply has to stop!

Since I have more downtime on my hands than I've had in the past six years I do plan on finalizing my training walk schedule, making reservations for the June Whidbey Campout, and getting started on my fundraising letter for this year. I'm also anxiously waiting for the call from my son Jason that will send me running (okay-walking as fast as I can) to the hospital for the birth of my grandson.
