I continue to receive emails daily from people that want to reach out to my hairdresser Nancy and let her know she's not alone on her journey. This is a not-so-gentle reminder of the basic kindness of humankind. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the ugliness of everyday life - those nasty drivers that cut you off, the customer that insists that everything is truly your fault, the cross look from the gal in the grocery store - that I need to be reminded that we are basically a compassionate people and that ugliness is not something we are born with, but rather something that is learned. Thank you for this reminder..
