Today was the long awaited follow up appointment. I had been told to expect 2-3 hours of testing including additional mammogram films, ultrasound and possible a needle biopsy. None of it sounded fun but the fact that I'd have my results before I walked out the door made me anxious to get the process started.

Long story short - I didn't even have to have the ultrasound before the doctor said I was clear. Whew! The suspicious areas that they were looking at turned out to be just the way I'm put together - nothing scary. I can't begin to tell you how relieved I felt walking out of that hospital with a clean bill of health.
