Whidbey was a wonderful success. This was the largest group of walkers I have had out there and I was quite impressed with them as a group. They were flexible, fun and generally just a great group of people to spend the weekend with.

Friday night we were treated to a spectacular sunset from the bluff trail but not before we spotted a baby seal on the beach!

Saturday the weather was absolutely perfect. Warm, but not too warm. Breezy but not windy. I really like my new Saturday route. There's a little bit of tweaking I'll do for next year but generally its a good challenging but doable 20.8 miles. We had a minimum of walking owies and only three people that took advantage of the sweep vehicles.

Speaking of sweep I can't say enough about how much help having Casey come out and crew for me was. Definitely something I'll be doing again next year. I might even let Jeff and Jack off the hook for next time around!

Now my attention is turning to the wine & cheese fundraiser at my house on Wednesday as well as this weekend's team BBQ and my sweep team up in Vancouver. Busy, busy!
