Well, I wish I could report that my fundraiser was a roaring success but... it was a pretty quiet night with a total brought in of $100! Better than nothing but I was hoping for much more! Unfortunately this fundraiser was designed with my co-workers in mind and scheduled months ago when the date looked perfect. In the meantime one of our major deadlines changed and my fundraiser fell right into the week that we were all working 11 and 12 hour days. Such is the world of advertising! I'm going to give it a couple months and then try again. I've pulled this type of event off before with great results so I'm sure I can do well with better timing!

That said I did get a chance to have a great dinner with one of my teammates, Willy and her husband. We had a great time and it was wonderful to see them both again. Willy is walking both San Francisco and Portland with me this year. How cool is that!!

I just opened my mail and found another $100 check from a couple that my hubby knows from high school. We've kept in touch through the music scene. They are both really nice, fun people and I'm so honored that they are supporting me this year. Thanks Mike & Pat!

Before I left work on Friday a co-worker handed me $100 check apologizing for not being at my fundraiser. He felt really bad but his wife was sick and he wanted to be home with her (what a guy!). He's offered to help me organize my second attempt at this fundraiser in a couple months promising to help get more of the office out! He's been a great support and I appreciate his efforts on my behalf. Thanks Joe (& Amanda too!).
